I Believe God puts us in impossible situations sometimes just to show us His power, His strength, His grace that when we are at our weakest point that is when His Grace is sufficient. It is possible to live a life for Jesus but only trusting Him and not ourselves.
Paul, who wrote to the Corinth church in 2 Corithians 13:4 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
A ‘thorn in the flesh’ was given to Paul so he wouldn’t become conceited. We might think it is strange that God would allow this. But this shows you that God will be given the glory for the power in our lives. At times we may think God has given us a ‘thorn in the flesh’. The struggles we encounter have no match for His Grace and that’s what God is trying to show us that His power is made perfect in our weakness. Only when we submit and wait on Him.
Exodus 14
The Israelites who were led out of Egypt, hundreds of years into captivity were finally delivered! But when God’s people came to the Red Sea they were met with an impossible situation. An advancing army, Egypt’s army with the Pharaoh leading the way were coming right at them. In front of them was the Red Sea, no way to cross, no way out. what seemed impossible was about to become possible right before there eyes.
God is telling us three major points that the body of Christ, His people must do in order for us to conquer impossible situations.
“Don’t be afraid, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, for the Egyptians that you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you only to be silent.” – Exodus 14:13,14
- Don’t be afraid
- Stand still
- See what God will do
