Satan’s Worst Nightmare

Acts 19:15
“Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?

I know about
the Messiah, and of Paul’s anointing that whenever his shadow would cast upon
the sick they would be healed. But who are you?

  • In other words, Paul was a real
threat to Satan; he was well-known by the enemy.

How to be a threat to Satan?

  1. Time to move away from our comfort
zone. ( but our comfort zone lets us feel at ease day and night no matter what
we do or were we go)
  2. – no prayer life

  3. fear of God has left you
  4. – no anguish for the lost remains
  5. – not hungry anymore
    1. Enemy number one goal is to make us
      fall asleep.
  6. We become complacent (unmotivated to
change) in our walk sometimes, we choose to walk in front of the fire instead
behind it, cause we know where were going.
  7. We need a fearless, rugged commitment
to God that says whatever I have to lose I will lose for your sake and not
    mine.

– Maybe your God is too nice, you’ve been in the comfort zone for so long that we don’t
feel the convicting power any more.

– Wonder why God hasn’t spoken to you, too far away to hear His voice.

– So why should we expect great things, blessings in store if we are not willing to
move closer to Him?

– It’s when we choose between the God that we think is too holy for us, or too terrible. So we come up with a God who we are at home with.

We will become like Samson

– Strong in the beginning

– Fighting off the enemy – thousand men with a jawbone of a donkey

– Tearing down stronghold’s

– He became known in Hell.

– Then he became complacent little by little

Judges 4:4
“afterward it happened that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name
was Delilah”

– Distraction
1 Peter 5:8 be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking
whom he may devour.

– Know your surrounding’s

– Don’t get caught up in the daily distraction of life for you to lose your focus, the aim which is Phil 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God
in Christ Jesus.

– We have a race to win and we can’t look back.

Judges 16:5 And the lords of the Philistines came
up to her and said to her, “Entice him, and find out where his great strength lies,
and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to afflict
him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver.”

The enemy knew
Samson as a threat

Every time you walk the gates of Hell
shake and tremble?

Who does the enemy say about you?

Judges 16:16 “ and it came to pass, when she pestered him
daily with her words and pressed him, so that his soul was vexed to death.

Judges 16:17-19 17 that he told her all his heart, and
said to her, “No razor has ever come upon my head, for I have been a
Nazarite to God from my mother’s womb. If I am shaven, then my strength will
leave me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.”

18 When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and
called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once more, for he has
told me all his heart.” So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and
brought the money in their hand. 19 Then she lulled him to sleep on
her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his
head. Then she began to torment him,[a] and his strength left him. 20 And she
said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his
sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself
free!” But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.
