Where is God in All of This?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

In these trying times, it seems that darkness is overtaking light. We can look at our economy, the violence that we may hear of terrible things happening, or even the fear of getting sick. At times it seems that darkness is taking over and so we ask, where is God in all of this?

As God heard the cries of deliverance from His people in Egypt who had been in bondage for over 400 years; God responded. He found a man named Moses to free His people. A man who claims to have stuttered and not speak eloquently found a side kick to go with him, Aaron.

EXODUS 10:21-23

After many attempts to free His people, God told Moses to “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, a darkness to be felt.” — this ninth plague would make Pharaoh’s heart even harder.

(A darkness that had a supernatural element in which it could be felt.)

“So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was pitch darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. They did not see one another, nor did anyone rise from his place for three days, but all the people of Israel had light where they lived.”

In all of the darkness that was there for three days, God supplied the needs of His people, He provided His light so that they would not be in darkness.

In this season that we are in, we may feel fear, discouragement, anxiety, the darkness that at times feels like its sucking the very life out of you. But remember this, that every time you ask “God, where are You in all of this?”

Remember, He is right where you are. He is still being a provider, supplying all of your needs according to His riches in Glory. He is the light, a light that darkness cannot, will not overcome.

Jesus said that He has overcome the World. He has overcome the fear, the depression, the anxiety, any darkness. Come to the light which is Jesus and find the freedom that you need!

And God Said…

In the beginning
“the earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”
Once, the Earth was without form and void. Spiritual speaking we were without form and void, for some we still are. We try to figure out His ways, but yet we are still puzzled. We go before Him, but yet He has already been their. We hide, we run, but He knows where we are and where we are running too.
Genesis 1:3 ” And God said “Let there be light,” and there was light.
But with a simple Word, He spoke light onto the Earth and it happened. He created light?!  how radical!
/// Just A Thought \\\
He created light, why are we struggling with a situation not trusting Him to speak life into it?
The same God who spoke light into existence can speak light into your darkest moments and speak life into the deepest caverns of your heart. The earth was filled
Just like the Earth it has a beginning and an end; we all have a beginning and we all also have an ending.
“All flesh is like grass, that is here one day and gone the next. for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,” 1 Peter 1:24

John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

In the first creation, ‘darkness was upon the face of the deep’ (Genesis 1:2) until God called light into being, so the new creation involves the banishing of spiritual darkness by the light which shines in the Word.” (Bruce) – enduring word

Let His light shine!

A door has many symbols of what it represents. As in the spiritual it symbolizes freedom; as in such a sinner coming to know Christ. Once living in darkness but walking into the light. And a christian moving closer and closer to the heart of God through the rooms of trials and circumstances only to experience the intimacy that God is allowing us to have with Him.
