You Complete me

Nothing can satisfy the entire man but the Lord’s love, and the Lord’s own self. To embrace our Lord Jesus, to dwell in His love, and be fully assured of union with Him this is all in all. Dear reader, you need not try other forms of life in order to see whether they are better than the Christian’s: if you roam the world around, you will see no sights like a sight of the Saviour’s face; if you could have all the comforts of life, if you lost your Saviour, you would be wretched; but if you win Christ, you would find it a paradise; should you live in obscurity, or die with famine, you will yet be satisfied with favor, and full of the goodness of the Lord. – Charles Spurgeon

Are you completed in Christ or is your relationship slowly depleting?

When you look back on 2012, are you growing in Him or are you in the same place as you were last year?

For some, they would say they are growing. But for other’s they would give excuses to why their not as close to Him as the earlier years. Here are 5 area’s (not steps) that as a Christian needs to take in consideration in their walk with Christ. Note, that these are no steps, the numbers have nothing to do with the importance of each area.

1. Read the Word

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
(Hebrews 4:12 ESV)

2. Prayer

There is Power in prayer

“Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, saying,
“I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.”
(Jonah 2:1 ESV)

Like Jonah, we wait until the very worst happens, then we latch onto God as if He didnt know what was going on from the very beginning. Our prayer life is dwindled away as other cares of the World begin to form in our life, I have found that a prayer life is crucial for a Believer.

3. Be with other Christian’s

“Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong.”
(Exodus 23:2)

Hanging out with the wrong crowd will pull you down, it’s been proven in my life and for those who have tried to lead someone to Christ by hanging out with them too long, the best effective route for your friend or family member is not to shun them away but pray!

4. Tell other’s about Jesus

“And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
(Mark 16:15)

The Great Commission wasn’t a suggestion its a command. And why? For others to be saved.

5. Make your decision public

Obviously, baptism alone (without belief, confession in Jesus, repentance of sins, or placing one’s trust in God) does not cleanse people from sin. It is the physical evidence of one coming to Christ. The old man going under and the new man coming back up. Even though water baptism is not required for Heaven it is something that every Christian needs.

When you are left with nothing thats when you have everything you need, you are left with Him.

Conclusion

God is constantly steering us into this direction of just simply resting in the work of the cross, so many churches, organizations are all about works. Put those working hands down, it’s finished.
