“so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”
Hebrews 6:18-20 ESV
I feel impressed to put this out there who needs to hear it.
There are so many in the World today who have no anchor of hope. With the crisis in the Middle East, so many are living a life of constant turmoil, being led by fear and worry.
They have no one to turn to when life spirals out of control. They have no foundation to stand on whenever a situation arises out of their control. What they thought they had to stand on, what they hoped in; riches, fame, popularity, social status, all of that leads to a crumbling foundation.
At the end of the day, when you lay your head down, thoughts are running rampid. You hear a question, “If there’s no hope, then why keep on living?” What’s the point of life?
There is hope and there is a purpose for your life.
The only anchor and foundation that we have in this World is the finished work of what Christ did on the cross.
He can be your hope for today and your future for your tomorrows, just reach out to Him, He’s been waiting. Find refuge in Jesus today.
If you don’t know the Lord as your personal saviour, ask Him into your life today. Let Jesus be your anchor.
