What’s Next?

Have you ever been in a season of waiting? Whether you’re waiting for an answer from your boss about a promotion, an answer from your spouse about your next big purchase, or a text from your kids? Or how about a season of waiting on the Lord to fulfill his promise he has granted you?

Can you take a deep breath with me and just soak this question in…. Where are you in life right now? Are you in a time of peace, you just fought the fight and won the battle that God had already laid out and fought before you, or are you in a time of waiting, and wondering what the Lord has in store for you? I promise no matter where you are at, He is with you.
Even if you’re not asking him to, He is with you.

We can so often feel the battles of this world come against us. Like a wave of water waiting to take us under. It can be social media tearing your spirit apart, making you feel unworthy, the news putting your mind in such a state of worry you can’t focus on your prayers that day, or fighting with a loved one. The enemy will do anything he can to tear us apart and keep us down.
Keeping us down, that’s the enemy’s dream.

But God has one bigger and he made it special just for you. He doesn’t make mistakes. He lays out everything in our lives to his design and his plan we just have to follow it.
I have often wondered am I doing what the Lord asks me to do? Am I making him proud or am I living by the flesh?
We are only human, we make mistakes but it’s our heart that the Lord listens to, it’s where Jesus lives within us.

Proverbs 3:6-16

6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
7 Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

Wear the armor of God, keep it on you every moment of every day. It’s your weapon against the enemy. Ephesians 6 speaks of wearing the shield of faith. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God, carry your faith with you.
Faith is grown through prayer, and seeking the word and wisdom of God. Faith is building that relationship with Jesus. Anything is made possible with faith. So whether your in a season of waiting, or a season of struggling with life, or you may be thinking what’s next Lord… remember to seek him first, guard your heart always, and wear the armor of God so you fight and win against the enemy any day or any night!
