What is Your Object of Faith?

If our object of faith is on anything other than the Cross of Christ, we will fail; plain and simple. I don’t care if you pray more, read the Bible more, if your faith is not in the Cross and what was done for you at Calvary, you will not see victory in your life.

How easy it is to focus and place our faith on something other than the Cross. Many times I have failed and could not figure out why. I was doubling my prayer time, going to every Bible study in town. Still, I could not see victory.

How wrong I was to think that the power is in more time praying or studying. Sure, you will be blessed for that but that’s not the key to victory. Sure, reading the Bible you will know more about God, but that will not give me victory without putting my faith into the right place – the Cross.

Rules become legalism which leads to more harm than good. Jesus said in John 14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” Today, place your faith in the finished work of the Cross.
