My Journey Moment by Moment: Part 1

I believe God writes our journey everyday of our lives and we see His work moment by moment. Whether those moments are good or bad He will give us what we need in those seasons.

This year 2020 has taken a turn from the very beginning. What I thought would be a normal year has been a year of testing and trials, victories and moments of despair. But who knew I would see miracles performed this year in my family. Moments that I thought would be the end of someone close in my life. A moment of loss not of someone else’s life but your own can also have a mental effect that I never known.

It started in January, with my dad having a heart attack. He got diagnosed with having a widowmaker heart attack. It’s a type of heart attack that’s caused by a 100 percent blockage of the left anterior descending (LAD) artery. And for most people its sudden death. But God is a way maker.

  1. Way Maker — Psalms 77:14 “You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.

After we arrived at the hospital, while we were waiting un-patiently for anyone to come out and give us an update, I read a mural on the wall with the verse:

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us” — 2 Corinthians 4:7. Meaning God is in control and whatever our journey may bring we must realize we are empty vessels that have no power but only to trust in His power. Finally, a man wearing a white coat walked into the waiting room asking us to follow him into the consultation room. The cardiologist after sighing and looking at each one of us showed us the X-ray of my fathers heart. One artery was almost completely closed off. In amazement he said he had 99% blockage in the left anterior descending artery. “Do you believe in God” he asked, our reply was “yes, yes we do”. He then said “It was Him who kept him alive” Astonished, we knew then we have seen God make a way.
